Radiography

Radiography

Radiography is an essential diagnostic tool for the evaluation of orthopaedic and traumatic pathologies, particularly useful for sportsmen, skiers and cyclists. It allows the identification of trauma, injuries or diseases thanks to X-ray images, which provide details on bones and certain soft tissues. Advanced digital technologies enable rapid image processing and archiving, ensuring high-quality diagnoses.

Our medical team uses radiography to diagnose fractures, joint injuries and degenerative diseases, ensuring targeted treatments. Patient safety is always a priority: examinations are only performed when necessary, with special attention to pregnant women. Radiology is perfectly integrated with other services, guaranteeing a complete, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pathway, also ideal for sports injuries.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic resonance imaging at the Bormio Trauma Centre offers precise diagnoses through the use of magnetic fields and radiofrequency waves, without using X-rays. This examination provides detailed images of the internal structures of the body, using signals from hydrogen atoms in the tissue. The quality of the images is adapted to different diagnostic needs, making it particularly useful for athletes who need a detailed evaluation after trauma or muscle and joint injuries. Images can be obtained from various angles, such as frontal, sagittal and transverse, for a complete and accurate view.

In some situations, the use of contrast media highlights specific alterations, which is particularly useful for the analysis of tissues and nerve structures. Cutting-edge technology and the ergonomic design of the machine guarantee comfort and convenience for patients, accompanying them through the diagnostic pathway with precision and professionalism.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a therapeutic method based on manual diagnosis and treatment, avoiding the use of medication or surgery. This type of treatment is particularly useful for athletes, skiers and cyclists dealing with musculoskeletal disorders caused by trauma or physical stress. Through specific manipulation techniques, osteopathy deals with problems related to the neuro-musculo-skeletal, cranio-sacral and visceral systems. The osteopath analyses the body as a whole, attempting to identify the root causes of disorders rather than merely treating the symptoms.

This approach considers the interaction between body, mind and spirit, with the aim of preserving structural and functional integrity, stimulating the natural capacity for self-healing. Osteopathy is effective in treating discomforts due to imbalances between the various body systems, promoting the recovery of harmony and well-being. It also supports the body's self-regulation by improving the interaction between the musculoskeletal and visceral systems, especially in situations of illness or excessive physical exertion.
